My husband and I spent a weekend in Burlington, Vermont for our third wedding anniversary. Being the foodie I am, finding the best places to eat can be challenging. Good food, vibes, ambience and service make the whole dining experience memorable. Below are my top restaurant picks for you!
This is a busy place, so ensure to go and put your name down for a table. We were given a pizza buzzer and after 15-20 mins we were seated on our outdoor and the table was lovely. There was no particular view but there were good outdoor vibes. This is the first place in America where I was pleased to see corn as topping option for the pizza! Service was great and pizza was just fantastic!! So delicious!! All washed down with some fruity cider. Think I may have to squeeze in another flatbread pizza before I leave Vermont! Yum yum!
This is a great place for dinner, however the only reason I am not given a full 5 stars as there is no reservation service. First night we waited 20 minutes and then decided to go to American Flatbread (totally worth it and amazing pizza). Second night we put our name down and had to wait 45 minutes for our table outside. In that time we had a little walk around and then headed to the back of the restaurant where there is a beer garden. I had to say the beer garden was cute and had lights and good vibes. You can order food at the bar and benches are to share. Had we known about the the beer garden we would have eaten there. I ordered a Riesling and we chilled there for 15 minutes or so. FYI the menu available in the beer garden is not the full menu.
Our buzzer finally buzzed and we got a pretty nice table out in the front of the restaurant. We had a lovely waiter who was very accommodating. We ordered the Mac and cheese and black bean burger. Without even asking our waiter offered to split both meals so we could share. My husband and I were impressed!
Food was very tasty and of good quality. I loved the Mac and cheese with a crumbly top. The black bean burger was also tasty and fries were delicious. This was a great little find for our Vermont trip!
